Donate NowWHERE MINNESOTA HOCKEY COMES HOME
Minnesota is the undisputed Hockey State–a place where the sport is more than a game; it’s a way of life. From backyard rinks to the professional level, our state’s rich hockey history has shaped legends and united generations. Yet, Minnesota lacks a true home to celebrate this legacy–until now.
“The City is thrilled that the Minnesota Hockey Hall of Fame has selected Inver Grove Heights as its home, and we look forward to welcoming them to our community. The site is in our Northwest Area, which has long been envisioned for major development, and the Hall of Fame offers the opportunity for new amenities and attractions that will benefit Inver Grove Heights for years to come.”
Brenda Dietrich, Inver Grove Heights Mayor
EVERY GAME LEAVES A MARK, EVERY STORY IS CARVED INTO MEMORY
Our mission is to celebrate the lasting legacy of the athletes, coaches, officials, teams, and contributors who have shaped Minnesota’s rich hockey tradition. As an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Minnesota Hockey Hall of Fame is committed to honoring the past while inspiring the future. Through grassroots initiatives, educational programs, and community engagement, we aim to impact lives across the entire state—from Warroad to Winona, Duluth to Pipestone—making this a true statewide effort.
COMING 2028
The Minnesota Hockey Hall of Fame (MNHHOF) will be more than a museum. The space will operate as a 120,000+ square-foot interactive destination. Plans include a 30,000-square-foot museum with a Great Hall and five exhibit wings, a state-of-the-art sunken ice rink, a 20,000-square-foot performance hall for concerts and induction ceremonies, a hockey-themed restaurant and bar, a signature event space, and more. Cutting-edge technology will immerse fans in the game through 360-degree digital experiences and hands-on exhibits where visitors can skate, shoot and relive historic moments.
